Poets for the Tsunami Victims

I received an e-mail from Umang Kumar (http://umkumar.blogspot.com/) pointing me to this fascinating new website: http://www.poetsforthetsunamivictims.org, which of course, is very interesting to me in light of my previous meditations on poetry on the Asian tsunami and the ethics of it all.

The site asks for poems on the Asian tsunami to be published on the website, and apparently, at least 15 people have already submitted poems. As I predicted earlier, the Asian tsunami is an event, like 9/11, that many will feel compelled to write about. Apparently, some already have.
